Q) What format will my finished video be on?
A) These days you have a choice. It can be put on a DVD with menus, chapter points, and thumbnails. It can also be formatted as a computer video file in several varieties. Also, ask about Digital Video Archive to see if it can be stored in the cloud for easy access and sharing.
Q) How long does editing take?
A) Editing can be exacting work. Sometimes it's easy for a client to underestimate the time it will take to do the job right. It is our goal to complete your project in the shortest time possible while meeting your quality specifications. We should be able to get more of an idea once we begin, and, of course, we communicate our progress every step of the way.
Q) Do I have to be present at the editing session?
A) Not necessarily. Many times you can drop off your project and just give us editing directions. Then you can simply come back for a final viewing and approval.
Q) What if we are not sure what we want? Can we let you make the decisions?
A) Sure! Just bring your content and ideas and we'll supply the creative direction. Then you can come in for a final approval.
Q) What about video special effects, titles, and all that fancy stuff?
A) We use professional editing software so whatever your creative mind can conceive we're almost sure to achieve. Whether it's video effects, video dissolves, wipes, titles, slow and fast motion, split screens, etc. Just describe what you are looking for.
Q) Can we have music or a voiceover put on our tape?
A) Absolutely! We offer professional Voiceover services or we can add in a professional Soundtrack. Just give us a call for more details.
Q) You use computers, right? You don't use razor blades and splicing tape.
A) Yes, we use the best professional editing software available. This digital editing is called "non-linear".
Q) What if I just need to combine two tapes to one. Or cut out a section of video in the middle?
A) No problem! If this is all you need it's a simple edit and we can usually give you a firm price at the beginning.
